Offwell Fete, Saturday 28th June
We had a great day at Offwell Fete yesterday. The weather was perfect, warm, sunny at times but with a nice breeze. The turn out was good, the entertainment appreciated by the crowds and even though our pitch was not as well positioned as last year, we did really well all in all. Sold a lot of Rotary Raffle tickets, which is great and spoke with a lot of people including 2 new carers. Being outside our usual area is really good for awareness. We had a good cover of willing volunteers all day, but it looked more than it really was as 2 of them just wanted to participate but was actually out of action completely for different health reasons
It was lovely to see Sue East making badges with the children, who loved drawing them then trying to use the badge machine too. Wasted a few but it was well worth it, to give them and us so much fun.
We were back home by 5.30pm, shattered after a busy day, but still cleared the cars and put everything away. Stella and I then spent a further 2 hours cashing up and putting everything back in order. Great day.

Gittisham Christmas Craft Fair Saturday 29th November
Lovely time spent with Stella Ford & Sylvia Gregory at Gittisham Xmas Fair fundraising and raising awareness of unpaid carers in our community. The fair was really well attended and we thank everyone for supporting our charity so generously. The beautiful Quilt made and donated by Catherine Potter was drawn by Alex and won on number 11. The gentleman lived in Gittisham and came straight down to collect it. We believe we had a happy winner.

Honiton Tesco Annual awareness day Friday 12th December 2025
Honiton Carers would like to thank our lovely community for supporting us so generously when fundraising at Honiton Tesco store on Friday 12th December 2025. We had a wonderful day meeting old and new friends and bringing awareness to the community about unpaid carers.
Thank you also to all our volunteers for supporting this annual event.

Trustee & volunteer Stella Ford folding the 2026 ‘What’s On’ ready for handing out during the day.
Hospiscare Christmas Fair at the Mackarness Hall Saturday 13th December 2025
Another successful community event and the last one during 2025 raising awareness of unpaid carers. We very much enjoyed being at this Christmas Fair & Fun Day at the Mackarness Hall in aid of Hospiscare organised by Dawn Endicott. It was delightful to see the very young ones participating selling all their own crafts. Well done to everyone. The raffle for our beautiful Quilt, made and donated by Catherine Potter was won by Audrey Turner on number 10. We would like to thank our generous community for supporting us yet again and our own volunteers for giving up their time particularly on a Saturday during this very busy time of year.
