Today we split our group for the first time as some of our carers had been invited by Devon Communities Together to visit a working farm in Newton Abbot. The carers had a wonderful time at Gappah Farm, watching sheep shearing, enjoyed a tractor trailer ride and made flower decorations with fresh flowers on a sticky board. They had a picnic and walked across the farm in action seeing beautiful cows in the field. The trip was much enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to Anderson Jones of Devon Communities together for coordinating this trips so well and thank you to Gappah farm’s proprietors for welcoming our carers and looking after them so well. A wonderful day was had by all.
The remainder of the carers group enjoyed the afternoon at The Kitchen at Combe Garden Centre where we met for our usual social “Cuppa & chat”.
