Honiton Carers Support Group visited the Powderham Castles ‘Christmas at the Castle’ event on Friday 20th December. What a wonderful experience that was for us all. The illuminations were absolutely stunning and we thoroughly enjoy our outing. Due to the heavy traffic and accident on the motorway late Friday afternoon, we were 30 minutes late arriving, but thankfully it did not cause a problem at all and we were warmly welcomed when we did arrive. Thank you to our Stamp coach driver who got us there and back safely, despite the challenging outbound journey.
The Castle being open was a real bonus too; it was beautifully decorated both in and outside. It was totally impossible to say which was part was our favourite as it was all absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit. Most of us ended up enjoying some much welcomed refreshments in the shed, including a lovely very large hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows.
