What a lovely summer party with Darcy & Charlie from Villages in Action entertaining us. Thank you to Wendy for saucing these talented and charming young people who not only played lovely music, but also told us about their studies, exams and aspirations for the future. We feel sure they will both go far and wish them all the very best for the future.
The entertainment was followed with a mouthwatering cream tea made by Mary Bolshaw. Delicious plain, fruit & savoury scones with all the usual accessories and a delicious Bakewell tart and Coffee & Walnut cake to finish off. What’s not to like? The carers tucked in and enjoyed the treat. This was followed by our usual well stocked raffle. Perfect afternoon.
A huge thank you to all our volunteer who helped make the afternoon run so smoothly.
