Honiton Carers enjoyed their summer party at the Methodist Church with music provided by our own carer, Tim Royce, who stepped in with less than an hours notice after several of the booked Heavytree Strummers Band members went down with an contagious illness overnight. Tim played for just over 30 minutes and did his very best for us all. He was given a huge ovation as a thank you for saving the day. A delicious cream tea with Mary Bolshaw’s wonderful assorted scones followed, also a birthday cake for us 7 July babies made by ex-carer Jean Donald. Happy birthday was sung by the whole group and Pat Dunlop presented Win with a beautiful bouquet of mixed Roses and a very generous Voucher for Sugar Beauticians, much to her delight. The usual well stocked raffle followed before the party wound up at 4.30pm. The afternoon was much enjoyed by everyone.
