Our fortnightly socials at The Kitchen at Combe Gardens Centre have become one of the most popular things we do together as a group. We meet at Combe Garden Centre fortnightly from 3.00 – 4.30pm and if the carers wish they can bring their loved ones too. We have a cuppa & the compulsory cake, how can you resist the wonderful cakes which are always available and soon the chatting and laughter starts. It is a chance to offload without being judged, to make new friends who totally understand each others, no one understands a carer like another carer. It is also a chance to have some much needed respite if you prefer and to just chill and have a couple of hour off from what is often a 24/7 very challenging caring situation. We offer free transport if required and can on occasion offer a sitting service too.
